The i-Count is a stand alone, multi-zone, bi-directional pedestrian counting system that uses inconspicuous ceiling mounted video processing devices powered by state-of-the-art image processing technology.

Each i-Count unit has its own built-in intelligence to perform, collect, store and communicate pedestrian traffic. For each device, the user can define up to 5 detection zones. The units have an automatic adjustment capability to deal with environmental changes, such as light, rain and passing shadows

The i-Count units perform real-time pedestrian detection and store counts and directions (incoming/outgoing) detected per unit. Data is stored in non-volatile memory for up to one month, yet may be retrieved for analysis on a timed interval, ranging from 15 minutes to a month.

i-Count is expandable and can support up to 4 digital inputs for auxiliary counting purposes such as infra-red beams and/or vehicle counting, and in special scenarios can have additional video input.

Embedded within each i-Count unit is a video camera and complex digital image processing electronics delivering them the ability to accurately count (95%+) in real-time without any network connectivity.

i-Count supports numerous protocols of data communication for the transfer of your data to the back office applications and to a third party applications such as Point of Sale or the corporate legacy platform. The communication is an open protocol and supports serial communication, TCP/IP, cellular and RF.
